I'll help you plan your dream tour in Rome!
I am Paola Barbanera, your personal guide, with everything that entails.
I organise whatever you require and I suggest what you can see in Rome. I take you where you want to go.
Whether you are looking at a monument, a sculpture, an artwork, a palace, a market, a piazza or anything else, I explain it and give it context (a brief comment, or loads of detail, depending on what you are wanting at the time). I give you insights and background. I bring it alive for you and make sure you enjoy your experience. That’s what I’m good at.
Who are my clients?
My clients range from the single traveler to couples, families, small groups, school and university groups, business conventions and cruise ships, of all ages and sizes.
I feel as comfortable with alone business traveler as I do with a class of 30 school children or a group of 50 elderly people off a cruise ship. I’ve had lots of fun with them all, and they keep recommending me. I organize special tours for family with kids, I love children!
I also deal directly with travel agencies and tour operators.
What I can do to help you plan your tour in Rome
Deciding what to see:
If required, I can help you decide what you’d like to do and see in Rome. There is the obvious and the not-so-obvious. Especially if you’ve been here before, the not-so-obvious might be more interesting.

Deciding when to see it:
If required, I can help you plan and pace your time. Rome is not a normal city – things can be open or closed with no particular logic, and the traffic is crazy… always. Your time is probably limited, so it’s best to get it right.
Organising connections:
Depending on where you’re staying (hotel, cruise ship, or with friends or family), you may require transport at the beginning of the tour or at the end of it. If required, we can pick you up and drop you off, or we can arrange transport for you according to your needs (e.g. private limousine, minibus or coach), We can happily advise you or give you directions.
Please note that according to the Italian Law, as a Licensed Guide, I cannot perform the services of a travel agency, however it would be a pleasure for me
to offer any suggestions that could be helpful during your visit.
